With the acquisition, Stream101 will be expanding it’s portfolio to include Web Design and reintroducing Reseller Web Hosting. These are the initial additions planned, but more will be coming as time progresses.

As with anything, the cost of continuing to provide services does rise. With this acquisition, Overwatch Data Services is helping to avoid passing on a cost increase to our existing customers that was planned for early 2019. By combining resources, consolidating several systems, and optimizing practices, we are able to delay this inevitable rise in cost to at least 2020 – possibly longer.
Overwatch Data Services (ODS) is a Michigan-based, Managed Service Provider. ODS specializes in small and medium businesses, startups, etc. The services provided include Server Equipment, Networking Equipment and General IT Support. ODS also provides software development services.
Stream101 has been operating debt-free since it’s inception and wanted to find a strategic partner that would follow the same core values and debt-free practices. Additionally, Overwatch Data Services (ODS) was looking for a partner with the same requirements. ODS, catering to small business, needed a reliable place to host servers, websites, etc.
This acquisitions removes a lot of administrative overhead with Stream101 and allows ODS to take over those key positions. Additionally, the knowledge and staff of Stream101’s technical team will now be part of ODS who can utilize the expertise of our Technical team as well.
Overall, combining key employees and resources makes sense and will allow increased growth for both companies!
